Session Two for grades 7–12 runs for 12 weeks beginning the week of January 13th 2025.
Please sign up below for your first, second, third, or fourth choices for each day you wish to participate in Session One. Program offerings will run depending on enrollment, so now is the time to express your interest!
Transportation Details:
Transportation home from the 21st Century Program is available at 4:30PM for students living in City of North Adams, and the bus will go to designated bus stops that will be created and shared with families based on program enrollment. In order to use the 21st Century transportation, enrollment forms must be received by Friday, January 3rd. There is currently no transportation for students residing outside of the City of North Adams.

The Afterschool Fitness Program: This program is designed to help high school and middle school student stay active, build strength, and develop healthy habits in a fun, supportive environment. Led by Mr. Moore and Mr. Robinson, the program will offer a variety of workouts including strength training, cardio, flexibility exercises, and team-based challenges. Students of all fitness levels are encouraged to join, with workouts tailored to individual goals and abilities. The program promotes physical fitness and emphasizes mental well-being, boosting confidence and reducing stress. By the end of the program, participants will have improved their fitness, learned essential workout techniques, and gained a sense of achievement.
Coding: Coding is the process of writing instructions to communicate with machines like computers, and programs like software, websites, and apps. Learn how to code for machines both big and small on Fridays with this STEM-centered program that builds students' persistence, problem-solving, and creativity.
Cooking: Spend Monday afternoons in the kitchen learning to bake, cook and create on a budget. Enjoy the added benefit of sharing creations with friends.
Volleyball: Stay after school on Thursdays to play volleyball. The first hour is volleyball the gym and the second half of the program is learning other fun games. On nice days, the program may go outside, so dress accordingly! All skill levels welcome!
The Drury Performing Arts Center Musical: All are welcome to participate in the Spring musical. If you plan to be on stage or work behind the scenes, please sign up through our 21st Century program!
Setting The Scene/It's Great to Create: Engage in Scenic Design, Prop Making, and Set Building for the Spring Musical as well as have the chance to use materials and create art of your choice! Ms. Hartlage will be here to help you bring your visions to reality. From February to April we will focus on creating for the Spring Musical. The rest of the time you can focus on your individual projects.
LEGO Challenge: Each week students will compete in challenges using LEGOs and other items. There will be a new challenge each week with prizes!
Role Playing Games (RPG): Have you ever watched a movie and said "If I was the hero I would have...."? Do you want to slay monsters and tell an epic story? Or do you just want to come and joke around while rolling dice to see who shoots an arrow into a ceiling? Whatever your answers are to these questions you have a place at the table during our After School RPG program. During this program you are given the opportunity to work collaboratively with your Game Master and other players to tell a story that matters, that deals with problems and overcomes them. Roll some dice, slay some monsters, tell a story (even if you roll a one).
Checkmate!: This chess program is for newcomers and those returning to the game. Come on Tuesdays to practice the game of chess and become a champion player.
Magic: The Gathering: Ever wanted to learn how to play a trading card game? In this program, you can! Compete with your friends and classmates in Magic: The Gathering, a strategy game using a wide variety of interesting cards. No cards necessary, we'll provide them for you!
