THE ART OF THE PODCAST
WITH PROFESSOR JONAH BAYER
Have you ever wondered what goes into making a
podcast?
Students in this course will together plan, develop
and launch a podcast series about creativity in arts
education. Interview artists, arts managers, and
creative economy leaders from across Berkshire
County and bring their voices forward to the region.
Open to juniors and seniors from Berkshire County high schools.

Applications are considered holistically based on a variety of factors including
order of receipt, GPA, and interest in the course. Applicants may also be invited for
an interview.
This course is offered through a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts as
part of the Creative Compact for Collective Impact Initiative (C4). Students will
learn the production and technical skills to record and promote a collaborative
podcast. No previous interviewing or audio editing skills required. This online,
asynchronous course allows for independent learning and also offers TBA studio
hours. This course confers 3 MCLA elective credits.
