MTEL Prep Courses
On October 28th and 29th the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts (MCLA) Education Department will be offering preparation workshops for those considering taking the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure (MTEL). The workshops are being held in an online, synchronous format. They are comprised of two sessions each day. Session 1: 9am-Noon will cover the test Communication and Literacy, and Session 2: 1pm-4pm will be for Foundations of Reading.
Passing the MTEL is a requirement for teacher licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Each class will focus on a specific test and will be taught by instructors knowledgeable in both the content/skill area and the test. The workshops are open to the community. Digital equity refers to the concept that all individuals and communities have fair and equal access to digital technologies--including internet, computers, mobile phones-- as well as the skills to use them.

Governor's Youth Advisory Council
This council will give young people from across the Commonwealth the opportunity to advise the Healey-Driscoll Administration on innovative solutions to some of the critical issues we face today such as climate, education, mental health, gun violence, housing, and more.
In order to have this council truly embody today’s youth, they are looking for balanced representation on the Council based on age, gender, ethnicity, geography, and a variety of other factors that make up the diversity of the Commonwealth. We encourage interested students to apply!
Applicants must be between the ages of 16-21 years old to be eligible for this council. Please find the application and additional information at www.mass.gov/youthcouncil.
